Phoenix Normand

Founder & CEO

Known for calm execution in sensitive situations—Boards, investors, employees.

Operating Style:

  • Interfaces: Board/partner updates, counsel coordination

  • Artifacts: closeout binder, decision log, stakeholder scripts

  • Principle: preserve optionality for founders + minimize noise for investors

PhoenixExit is a human-led wind-down program, not a self-serve software product. The firm runs a structured workplan with defined workstreams, weekly reporting, and close coordination with company counsel and tax advisors, so momentum is maintained and records are clean at the end.

Phoenix Normand brings a cross-disciplinary execution background spanning investment banking environments, venture-backed and high-growth companies, real estate, aerospace, and mental health. His career has been rooted in operating alongside investors, Boards, and executive teams, with sustained exposure to capital dynamics, investor priorities, and the practical realities of the startup lifecycle.

Across multiple VC-backed and growth-stage companies, Phoenix has led high-stakes execution during sensitive transitions where sequencing, discretion, and follow-through directly impact outcomes for founders and investors.

After navigating the shutdown of his own entrepreneurial venture, Phoenix saw firsthand how fragmented and unnecessarily chaotic the wind-down process can become. PhoenixExit was built to replace that experience with a disciplined, coordinated alternative that reduces noise, preserves relationships, and respects the human realities involved.

At PhoenixExit, the mandate is straightforward: protect stakeholder relationships, reduce partner time sink, maximize recoveries where possible, and deliver a clean, defensible close, so founders and investors can move forward with clarity and confidence.

PhoenixExit works in close coordination with fund counsel and portfolio company advisors and does not provide legal or tax advice.
